Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has declared the names of the toppers and the statistics of the results for class 12th for which examination was conducted in the month of March this year.
As per the overall summary of the results total pass percentage recorded this year is 84.42 which is much higher than that recorded last year at 79%. Total number of students who have appeared for the exam is 29,905. Girls again outshone boys with a pass percentage of 89.82 whereas that of boys is around 79%. Around 500 students out of total 2.98 lakh students have made it to the merit list wherein the overall merit list students of Ludhiana has a substantial ground.
Pass percentage of the students who appeared for rural areas at 83.9% is just a few notches less then that the students who appeared from urban areas at 85.04%.
Muskan Verma from of Fazilka Government Girls Senior Secondary School has has secured the first position scoring 99.56% marks as she scored 448 out of 450 marks. Daisy Garg from Sprigdale’s Public Senior Secondary School and Charu of GTB Khalsa Senior Secondary School secured the second and third position with 98.22% and 98% overall marks repectively. Ludhiana emerged as the district with maximum number of rank holder’s i.e. 108.
The detailed results for more than 3 lakh students who appeared in the examination would be uploaded on the PSEB official website by 8 AM on Monday i.i May 12 as per conversation of a board official with India Today.
