OMR Answer Sheets for AIPMT 2014 will be available online for five days, most likely from May 25, 2014 to May 31, 2014 before the declaration of the AIPMT 2014 results expected in the first week of June 2014. The answer keys has already been released by CBSE, the convener of AIPMT and with the availability of the OMR answer sheet used during the exam, candidates will be able to track their progress ahead of the results. The facility of challenging the answer key has begun with Rs.1,000/- fee per question challenged, although the fee will be refunded if the answer key challenge is accepted by the Board (Central Board of Secondary Education). There will be no option for rechecking or re-evaluating the answer sheets.
All India Pre-Medical Entrance Test (AIPMT) was conducted by CBSE for admission to undergraduate medical and dental courses on May 4, 2014. AIPMT scores are used for admission to 15 percent seats in Government Medical/Dental College and are also used by participating private colleges. AIPMT 2014 test consists of 180 objective-type multiple choice questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology) to be answered in three hours. The syllabus is based on topics both from Class 11 and Class 12. The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) used for MBBS and BDS admissions in 2013 has been replaced by AIPMT, although the entrance exam syllabus remains the same as that for NEET-UG.
NEET-UG 2013 used for medical/dental college admissions was attempted by 6, 58,040 candidates and cleared by 3, 66,317 candidates. The examination took place at 1,251 test centers across a total of 85 cities within India and outside India. NEET UG 2013 was held on May 5, 2013.
