DU Admission 2014 : Fourth cut-off list out, admissions to popular courses closed
The last segment of admission process has begun in Delhi University. The fourth cut-off list for admissions to undergraduate courses in Delhi University was released on Thursday night. Only a few options are available for the students. Although some colleges are re-opening admissions to certain courses after withdrawals.
Popular courses such as Economics, English, B.Com. (Hons.), BSc (Hons.) in Computer Science have been over in many colleges of the university. Hansraj, Hindu and Kamala Nehru are among the nine colleges that still offer BA (Hons) in Economics.
B.Com. (Hons) is available in eleven colleges including Gargi, Ramjas and IP College for Women. Also, English course is available at Hansraj, Hindu, Miranda House and five other colleges.
Hansraj College is one of the colleges that has admissions open to many popular courses. It is offering 10 courses, including honours in computer science, botany, chemistry, electronics, mathematics, economics and English. Also, admissions to B.Sc. physical sciences and life sciences, and BA Programme are available in this college.
Deen Dayal Upadhyay, Daulat Ram, Deshbandhu, ARSD and Dyal Singh are among the list of colleges which had closed admission for some courses in the third cut-off list but have re-opened them in the fourth cut off, as a result of withdrawals of admissions. However, the drop in cutoffs has been marginal-0.25 percentage points.
As per an official notification, the eligible candidates who meet the requirements notified in the fourth cut-off list are further advised to complete their admission formalities in the colleges concerned on July 11 and July 12 within the stipulated time.
