The wait for CBSE class XII exam results is finally over, as the results for all the regions have been declared today. However, the procedure of verification of marks has been changed by the board and the verification process will begin on May 30, 2014 to June 5, 2014.
Board has notified that this year onwards there will be a change in the procedure for verification of marks and the changes shall be displayed shortly on the official website. The applications for verification will be entertained online only and off-line applications shall not be entertained, informed the Board.
The past practice of applying for verification of marks at designated schools in case of Regional Office Delhi and respective Regional Offices (in other cases) has been done away with from this year. The applications for verification of marks will now be received online only.
Application fee for the online verification of marks will be Rs.300/- per subject. Also, for 2014 examination, the fee will be received only through gateway/E-challan. The candidates will have to deposit the fee by visiting the identified bank branch in case of E-challan.
The result of verification of marks will be available on the board’s website. Other than that, the candidates whose result gets revised after verification of marks will be intimated through letter also by the regional office concerned.

The results for the CBSE class XII for the Chennai and Trivandrum region were, however, announced on May 26 at 12:20 PM and the results due for the remaining regions i.e. Ajmer, Allahabad, Bhubaneswar, Panchkula and Guwahati shall be declared tomorrow.

CBSE Class XII exams, this year, were much in spotlight over the alleged paper leak of Physics in Manipur. Some teachers also informed that the class XII question papers were tough compared to the previous year’s paper although record breaking scores are expected from the students this year too. Over 1500 people surfed the websites after the news was spread all over.
CBSE is also conducting Post Result Counselling sessions that kick started on May 20 and will go on till June 10 and is conducted on all working days from 8 am to 10 pm.

CBSE Class XII Results 2014 for the students appearing from Chennai & Trivandrum Regions are declared and available online at official website of the board.
Chennai region comprises of seven states and one union territory, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Goa, Puducherry, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Daman and Diu.
The Trivandrum region comprises of schools in the states Kerala and Lakshadweep. This region was established in November 2013. Till then, the students in these states came under the Chennai region.
Results of the other regions of CBSE are expected to be declared by tomorrow, May 27 or day after. The other CBSE regions and the states that falls into are :
- Delhi: NCT of Delhi, Foreign Schools
- Guwahati: Assam, Nagaland, Manipur, Meghalaya, Tripura, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram
- Ajmer: Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli Panchkula: Haryana, Union Territory of Chandigarh, Punjab, J&K, Himachal Pradesh
- Allahabad: Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand
- Patna: Bihar, Jharkhand
- Bhubaneswar: West Bengal, Orissa, Chhattisgarh
CBSE Class X Results are already out. The results were declared on May 19, late evening for Chennai and Trivandrum region following the normal trend of southern regions receiving results early. Trivandrum received a cent (100) percent pass percentage from girl candidates and fared the best among the ten regions. The total pass percentage of this newly formed region is 99.96. Chennai stands in the second position with a pass percentage of 99.68 but dropped few notched from 99.80 recorded last year. The results for both the Chennai and Trivandrum region was declared a day early i.e. May 19 in late evening.
The candidates who are unable to clear the exams will get compartment and will be provided three chances to qualify. However, the candidates who had appeared for the examination in the year 2012 or before and are placed in the ‘Compartment’ category shall be provided five chances.
